If you're in the being carried along rapids of life, barely able to lift your head up above the raging current for a gasp of air, try to keep your eyes open so that: 1) you can see the Light and tell which way is Up, and 2) if Someone throws you a lifeline, you can see it coming and grab a hold of it.
