My Fortress
February 13, 2017I wait quietly before God,
for my victory comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress where I will never be shaken.

Heavenly Father, Thank you for the sure knowledge that we can put all of our trust in you and have peace. You alone are able to handle all things in the best possible way, no matter if it looks "good" to us or not. You love and care for us despite the fact that we are so utterly imperfect and undeserving of all the blessings you bestow on us. Please help us to remember that you can't be shaken and so it follows that those who rely on and take refuge in you are also unshakable. Hallelujah! Please help us to always come to you first, not waiting until we have tried everything in our own power, but immediately seeking your will, wisdom and everything else we need. We know that it's the most natural, logical thing for your children to do in all circumstances and that it pleases you when we put our hope and confidence in you and not ourselves or others. Please increase our faith and help our unbelief so that when others see us going through trials and challenges, they can see by our response that you are all that you say you are. Let us continually praise you not only with words, but in the way we live our lives for your glory. Thank you for forgiveness when we fall short time after time, and for your strength to get back up and try again to honor and exalt your holy name in all we do, say and think. We are in awe of you and we love you more than we know how to express. In Jesus' precious, beloved, worshiped and adored name, Amen.
